Neighborhood Housing Services of Richmond, Inc.(NHSR) is hosting the I Can Do This! workshop on Saturday March 5, 2016 from 9am to 5pm at Neighborhood Housing Services of Richmond, Inc, located at 2712 Chamberlayne Ave. Richmond,VA 23222.
I Can Do This! workshop is an educational workshop to understand homeownership, alternatives to foreclosure, and provide awareness to increasing healthier and safe communities.

Neighborhood Housing Services of Richmond, Inc. (NHSR) is a non-profit organization. Our
“Create a Home for Our Heroes” initiative is designed to aid homeless and disabled Veterans.
Under the American Disabilities Act (ADA), we will accommodate them as they transition
back into civilian life. This initiative will provide the essentials to meet their needs for any
physically impaired service men/women coming home from active duty and/or currently
homeless. We provide current armed forces, veterans, and disabled veterans with Financial
Literacy Counseling, Post Purchase Counseling, and Emergency Repairs. NHSR also assist
in the modification of current homes for active, retired and/or disable veterans. Our impact
reaches all military families throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
NHSR is seeking sponsorship for our 5th Annual Casino Royale, held at Willow Oaks Country Club
6228 Forest Hill Ave, Richmond, VA 23225 on July 23, 2016 from 7:00pm – 11:00pm, in
support of our efforts to help continue the initiative “Create a Home for Our Heroes”. Some of

National Night Out in the Park 2016

The 36th Annual National Night Out is an event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. National Night Out is designed to strengthen our communities by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement partners. The goal is to heighten crime-prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs, and most importantly, send a message that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. It is also the perfect opportunity to get to know your neighbors even better.

Dion Foxx is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League for the Miami Dolphins, the Washington Redskins, and the Green Bay Packers. He played college football at James Madison University, where he played offense and defense. Foxx also played in the Canadian Football League, Spring Football League and XFL. It all started at Meadowbrook High School where he played defense and offense, where he held the single season rushing record. In recent years, he has taught at the middle school and high school levels, and coaches high school football. Dion Foxx is also a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity.
George Izo is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Lions, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at the University of Notre Dame.
